I am a fully qualified Financial Adviser with over 30 years’ experience within financial services. After enjoying five very successful years as a Partner then Senior Partner with Prudential Financial Planning including being awarded ‘New Partner of the a Year in 2016 and ‘UK Partner of the Year’ in 2018, I have now decided to start my own business, Newlands Financial Planning Limited (a partner of M&G Wealth Advice). I advise on a range of products from Prudential and other carefully selected providers. (This is known as a restricted advice). I am the Director of Newlands Financial Planning Limited, an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. I have been working in a self-employed capacity with M&G Wealth since June 2020. Prior to setting up my own business I worked with Prudential as an adviser for 5 years, before this I spent 26 years with a major bank as a Personal and Corporate Financial Adviser and latterly as an Area Manager. I take pride in offering a professional, friendly service and devote my time to building lifelong relationships with my clients. The natural progression for me was to set up my own business via The Advice Partnership to provide an even higher level of service to my existing clients, whilst continuing to develop new relationships with the backing of the brand and strength of Prudential/M&G Wealth. Away from work I am married to Alison and have a son and daughter, both in further education. My hobbies and interests involve keeping fit by running, attending the gym and hill walking.
