Having worked in financial services since 2002, I started out working for an insurance company as part of their 'past business reviews' which gave me a technical grounding in pensions and as a result I have seen the bad and the good sides of the industry! One of the aspects I enjoy most is cutting through the jargon and showing clients that pensions are not as scary as they think - often the mass of paperwork can be off-putting but we pride ourselves on explaining in clear terms what you have, what it means, and what you can get out of it. This will put you in control of your money, since once you are in control you are better placed to make informed decisions about what you want, and can, do. Financial planning can often be a balancing act between short and long term needs. We all have a limited pot of money and it is choosing how best to use that pot that can be daunting. Our job is to help understand your needs and wants, and try to help you prioritise your money. Our clients are predominantly those soon reaching, or at, retirement. we can help you plan your retirement and hopefully achieve the things you've been putting off while working!
