What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My husband and l wanted a good return on our savings, and now I am a widow Steve and James sre there to help me understand as my husband did the finance and has passed away now.

We have been with Lawrence Clark for over 20 years. We own our own business and appreciate help and advice on all aspects of finance.

We had a great meeting with lots of advice. We are now set en route to what our expectations are.

James has been so helpful explaining all the decisions to make the best for my income now and the futer. He has helped me understand clearly the Tax liabiity for the emmeadiate years and years to come. It is the first time i feel reassured that my financial situation is safe as it is possible to be. I feel I caould ask him to explain finanses in a way that makes sence to me and he has reassured my that if I have any concernes he is there for me. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had received such bad advice previously from a regulated IFA (and lost a substantial amount as a result) that I was reluctant to seek further advice and find an advisor I could trust. However, I decided I really needed professional advice and James contacted me for an initial chat after which I agreed to instruct him.

How has James Murphy helped you?

James has set up my pension and ISAs and is advising me about financial management during retirement to ensure I can live fully and enjoy myself. I know my finances are protected and working hard for me with minimum risk.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Definitely. James has given me peace of mind which is huge after my devastating experience.
