I had several work related pensions, that needed consolidating.

He looked at my different pensions, discussed my short, medium and long term goals and provided me with advice which i acted on. My multiple pensions are now one and the returns thus far even in such volatile times have been impressive. Ben has made my future look very positive.

As I am nearing retirement I wanted to benefit from professional financial advice to help me make the best decisions regarding my pension

Ben provided me with pension drawdown advice and designed me a suitable pension investment strategy. He also generously made helpful suggestions about a relative's inheritance tax position.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It is really too early to say, as the investment strategy has only just been implemented.

What could they have done better?

Nothing I am aware of at this point.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Sale of last house released a sum of money to invest. With no prior experience of investing it seemed wise to seek professional advice, especially as we are both now retired and do not have large pensions.

How has Ben Taylor helped you?

Ben has been very helpful and responsive, consulting us throughout the investment planning process and providing useful information to help us make informed decisions. We had an initial meeting with him in person and a couple of times afterwards before deciding to proceed with the investment proposal he prepared. This enabled us to understand and assess the risks and benefits, ask questions about investing and gain a better understanding of the specific investment proposal. Communication with Ben has been very good and he comes across as both knowledgeable and professional.

The investment plan has only recently been implemented and it is too early to assess performance
