What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I initially had a lump sum that I was looking to invest and also as a self-employed professional wanted to set up some investments for future financial planning. It was important to me that it was an advisor that could introduce me to sustainable products and investments.

Himself and Saba helped us with our mortgage application, issues that came about in the process of trying to but for the first time. They constantly checked in with us to see if they could help or speed the process up. Completely professional, incredibly efficient and caring.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to obtain life insurance and as I have a long term health condition I felt I needed some professional input to find the best cover. I was also after advice on my pension.

How has Akwasi Duodu helped you?

He did thorough research of my circumstances and identified the best provider. He completed the paperwork and liaised with the provider on my behalf. He also provided me with reliable advice regarding how best to handle my pension pots.

Yes. I am about to complete the process for my life insurance cover, this was slowed by the covid 19 situation.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was setting up my own business and sorting out finances. My needs were focused on pension and investments check including organisation, allocation and consolidation.

How has Akwasi Duodu helped you?

At the start Akwasi took me through the needs and risk analysis, reviewed my existing pensions with his specialist team and made recommendations for consolidation of both DC pensions and ISAs onto a single platform. Since then he has supported me in checking fund allocations and performance quarterly and making discussed adjustments as the market has developed

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes - I have it all in one place, I understand what the approach is, Akwasi is very supportive in the investment reviews in researching approaches and making suggestions. Investment performance has also been good.

What could they have done better?

I find the platform (Aviva) really clunky and limited when compared to other retail investment tools. But it hasnt affected the result nor my recommendation.
