What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I have been a customer of Parkworth since 2017. I required somebody to be my financial advisor when my private pension came into being. It’s very daunting when you have a large sum of money to invest and you literally hand it over to somebody you have only had contact by phone .After making a few inquiries about Parkworth and meeting Matt Porter for the first time I realised that the way he professionally explained everything to me ,it was obvious to me that I would be in very professional hands.

Matt Porter has been very helpful all the way so far. He is always on the end of the phone to give any advice I might need, will do a Zoom call if required or if something requires a lot of explanation he is willing to make a visit to your property to go through all the details with you. Matt has a good soothing and professional air about himself that always makes me feel at ease and explains everything simplisticly.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I am on the low scale of the stocks and shares, which suits my needs. If the shares go up you make a little money, if they go down I only loose a little money, hopefully only temporary, I have been pleased with the performance of the shares so far and have made a good profit so far.

Nothing at all. Couldn’t be more helpful with any questions I ask them.

I had an old money purchase pension and required qualified FA to enable to redeem the pension. I looked online typed in my post code into find an FA near you and Matt's name came up luckily for me.

Buying drilling down into all of my financial assets, understanding my family background and being able to provide options(advice) based upon various scenarios.

This has been a difficult period (5 years) for investments but when taking this into account the outcome has been reasonable.

Matt has provided professional advice throughout the period I have known him. The last 5 years has not been an easy ride on the financial markets but Matt has always been available to provide quality advice when required. Therefore I can't think of anything else that Matt could have done better.

As a result of the initial financial review my various pensions,savings and investments were evaluated, and the option of seeking a valuation of my largest pension and taking the value and managing it via an investment platform was discussed. The full ramifications were explained clearly to my wife and self and the pros and cons discussed at length. In addition, MP has supported the drafting of new Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Yes once the valuation was completed we have very secure access to our funds as and when required with no delay.

Having reached retirement, I acquired a reasonable amount in my pension pot, so I had to be sure that I was placing the money with someone that I could trust and was not going to be scammed in any way.

How has Matt Porter helped you?

I don’t understand all the intricate workings in the financial world, as most of the average investor doesn’t. Having met Mr Porter ,he put me at ease straight away and as best he could ,explained in easy to understand terms where he was investing my money and with whom.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Mr Porter advised me that there were 3 levels at which we could go for to achieve the best returns from the fund. We decided between the two of us that he would invest it for me at the lowest level, so if the market went up we wouldn’t make a fortune, but at the same time if it went down I wouldn’t have great losses. This advise from Mr Porter I was happy to accept and so far have not regretted it.

What could they have done better?

Mr Porter has been in touch on a regular basis to inquire if I needed anything and is always at the end of a phone line if I have any need of advice. Very pleased with Mr Porter’s professional matter in all our dealings, so I don’t think he could have bettered himself in any way.
