What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I intially contacted Richard for advice regarding a stocks and shares ISA. I had been looking to invest my money for a while however I did not know the best way to do this.

How has Richard Smith helped you?

Richard was very helpful and friendly from the moment I met him. He listened to what I wanted to do and then gave me all of the most appropriate options available to me. He then set up a stocks and shares ISA for me which is exactly what I was looking for. He also discussed other things with me which could help me in the future such as life insurance and critical illness cover. I already had life insurance set up but added critical illness cover to this. As I am and NHS worker I did not think I required critical illness cover however after a discussion with Richard I realised that this would be in my best interest to set this up.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, I am regularly updated on how my ISA is performing and happy with the growth so far. Richard is good at communicating and keeping in touch regularly which makes me feel very comfortable that I have invested my money with the right person.

What could they have done better?

Richard helped to guide me in what I should do with my money to ensure my vision for the future is achieved. I don’t think he could have done anything better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had been investing using a mobile application and had begun to build up a substantial amount of savings. I sought out Richard to help me move this into an account with a more established firm where I would be more comfortable keeping my investments into the future.

Richard was able to advise me what funds to invest in based on my own appetite for risk and what my goals are for the future, and was able to transfer my existing stocks and shares ISA into another suitable one with SJP. Richard has helped advise me on setting up regular contributions as well as moving cash funds in order to maximise my annual ISA allowance.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I've seen positive returns on my stocks and shares ISA and maximised the use of my ISA allowance for the previous financial years.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I’m nearing Retirement and required help.

Richard has worked tirelessly to put all my pensions into the one pot, which were a shambles . Can’t thank him enough. His friendly approach has made me very confident in his ability to kick every hurdle over to achieve a positive result.

I had been concerned about the best way to plan for retirement, this had the additional complications of having two jobs with two different pensions / providers / types.

Richard was extremely helpful in discussing in detail how each pension would contribute to my income in retirement and how best to plan for that, including increasing savings now to meet achievable goals for a comfortable life in the future.

I am now reassured that I am not making a financial disaster in my relatively early career, and that my pensions, & savings strategies have been reviewed and optimised by an expert.

I want to start investing to build my wealth.
