Jenny Madhoo is a Chartered Financial Planner and has spent the best part of 15 years working in traditional Financial Services companies. She found herself having to turn away her fellow Gen Ys because her companies’ services weren’t designed to meet their needs, and this didn’t feel right. So with the support of her employer, Jenny set about trying to design a Financial Planning solution that would perfectly fit the needs of Gen Ys and Gen Zs that really want money advice, but currently have nowhere to turn to get it. Her friends will tell you Jenny’s a straight-talker and has no time for financial jargon or waffle. While money can’t buy you happiness, we all need to navigate money matters to live our lives in the 21st century, and school has left us woefully underprepared for this. Financial Planning has had a bad rep in the past for being a rip off or a privilege for wealthy clients. SpringGen wants to lead the way in deconstructing this image. Money shouldn’t be scary and seeking advice shouldn’t be intimidating. Good financial advice is a privilege that we should all be able to afford and access. SpringGen is a part of The Financial Planning Group. This means SpringGen clients benefit from the full support and many decades of expertise across the entire group. I have worked in Financial Services since leaving university. I worked in central London for several years before relocating to Aberdeen in 2017 for my husband’s job. Initially working as a Paraplanner, and now as a Financial Planner. Proudest career moment: There are probably 2 – Winning CISI Paraplanner of the Year in 2016 And becoming a Financial Planner Tell us something surprising that people wouldn’t know about you My university degree is in the History of Art – and I graduated with a first! I love going to galleries and museums, but the art world just wasn’t the career calling for me (too stuffy!)
