I had a number of pension funds, ISAs etc and sought to have them consolidated under on sensible and proactive adviser

He provided detailed advice on our investments, recommending some changes. Also discussed how best to access my pension funds. Rational always provided along with benefits, risks and costs. Tax efficiency was high on our agenda as well. Our discussions covered how much we needed and for how long. Also receive regular newsletter which I found informative and easily understood

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Iain looks after our investments and pensions but we mainly came to him for help getting sorted out to retire. Me and my wife are still a whlie away from retiring but are keen to make sure we can retire when we want to rather than having to work until state pension age.

How has Iain Forrest helped you?

Together we came up with a long term plan to make sure we have enough invested to see us through retirement. Iain did us a full forecast which shows what we can expect to happen to our money in various scenarios and with various income levels being taken. Just what we needed.

We are several years in and the plan still looks sound. We usually meet up every 6 months or so and make sure everything is ok.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Needed help with where to put money from an inheritance away to grow and also on planning for retirement. I have a couple of friends who already work with Iain and both told me to go to him.

How has Iain Forrest helped you?

Basically Iain explained to me what my options were with the funds I received. We had three meetings before I actually decided what to do. This is purely because my husband had always dealt with our finances and this was the first time I was doing it alone. Iain really was and continues to be very easy to deal with, there is no pressure to move quickly although these days I tend to take his advice very quickly as I have worked with him for over 5 years now and I trust him completely!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, I needed someone to help me through what was a difficult time of inheriting alot of money and having no knowledge of finance. Although I'm not intersted in the investments themsleves I know Iain has then well looked after. I always get to sit down with Iain whenever I call for a meeting so I can't ask for any more really.

I am getting towards retirement and needed advice on what to do with my pensions. A colleague and good friend recommended I meet Iain.

How has Iain Forrest helped you?

Iain gave me advice on how to use my pensions and handled all the set up once I agreed. I really had no idea what to do as there were so many options but Iain took his time to explain everything to me. I feel totally relaxed about the future now and I really don't worry about money at all.

Definitely as I now have a really clear view of my money and a plan for how it will be used to fund my retirement. We also built in plans for a holiday home when I do eventually retire. I suspect without Iain's help I would never really have commited to this and it would have remained a pipe dream! Delighted!

I had never had a financial adviser before so I was nervous about the whole process. Iain put me at ease right away in our first meeting and talked in a way that I was able to understand despite not knowing anything about pensions. I've now been with Iain for a number of years and I wish I had met im earlier as I now never worry about my retirement plans at all.

Yes. I now know exactly where I stand financially and I know I can trust Iain to look after my money. Iain is always extremely approachable and helpful. I have recommended many of my friends to him and they all say the same thing.
