What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to amalgamate several different pensions schemes with a view to assessing my future income at different stages in my retirement.

My wife had money from leaving the Civil Servicde which was previously invested in a finance organisation recommended by the Civil Service. The investment was not making much money. We then heard about Ginko from Facebook colleagues and met with Daren. We were extremely impressed by his ability to explain financial matters in ways that a layperson would understand. I was 60 and had and recently made redundant . I was hoping to get away from the alarm clock routine forever . I knew I had a decent pension pot but was unable to access it . Also I didn't like the fact if I died before my wife she would only have access to 50% of it's value .
