What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We wanted to change the way we invested our money as we were not getting a good enough return. We had also recently finished our mortgage and wanted to save additional money for our retirement. My husband was also concerned that the pension pots he had accrued over the years were not going to be sufficient so we really needed someone to review our savings, investments and pensions to ensure that we could retire when expected and live comfortably

How has Richard Bishop helped you?

Richard looked at all of the above and created a forecast for us which helped us to fully understand what we could do and when, in terms of our investments and retirement plans. He put our minds at ease and we realised we were in a strong position. He also set up a good long term savings plan with us. In recent months Richard and his colleague have also supported us when we needed to quickly sort out a mortgage for a property that we wanted to purchase at short notice. Without this support we would not have secured the property.

Yes, so far so good! I trust Richard to support us now and in the future and I'm happy with the advice I have been given thus far.

i cant think of anything Richard could have done better. He calls me regularly and we meet at least once a month (although this year has been an exception!) He is very knowledgeable and more importantly he speaks in words i understand. I would recommend him to anyone and indeed have done.

My husband needed help with a previous private pension he had, so whilst he was speaking to him about this I decided to ask him to check my pensions at the same time.

How has Richard Bishop helped you?

He checked through both our pensions and also moved them to a better scheme that would help us save some money. He also checked one of my company pensions from a previous employer and told me that it was in my best interest to leave it where it is.

Yes my husband has already received some money back and all my pensions have been checked also. Then I found out that the company who did my last review had changed my pension to a company with more expensive administration charges.

What could they have done better?

I don't think he could have been any better at all, his office was comfortable and looked extremely organised, with professional friendly staff. In my view he was extremely professional whilst at the same time speaking in terms that we could fully understand straight away.

Each time the outcome has been as we have been advised and expected. We have developed a very good relationship with Richard over time, and this is very important with dealing with these matters.
