What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

it was time to transfer my pension funds to a company which would permit income draw down and still maintain a good level of growth.

How has Graham Weller helped you?

Graham recommended a new fund and arranged the transfer, advising on the level of income which would be sustainable over the years and he reviews this on an annual basis

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, absolutely. The fund has performed well above average for most of the years I have been invested

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

To understand our consolidated pension situation, including ascertaining whether transferring out of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes was the right move for me and my wife, and for execution of the agreed strategy.

How has Graham Weller helped you?

Evaluated our joint pension situation (one private, two defined benefit scheme) and investments (small), and proposed alternatives, aligning these to our risk appetites and aspirations.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. The strategy has been executed for me successfully, and seemingly involved tying up quite a few detailed loose ends e.g. part of a transfer had to be completed 'in specie'. I feel confident that my Financial Advisor attended to all necessary detail.

What could they have done better?

1) I don't feel confident that I can check the charges made. Whilst the charges were always made clear in advance (and in writing), a written record of how these charges would appear in which paperwork would have been welcome. This should include the charges to be made by Metis Wealth for advice and execution of the strategy, those made by the investment platform, and those made the investment manager (in addition to charges for investment transactions). 2) Perhaps catch-ups/updates could have been a little more frequent. 3) Reports prepared for me were not revised when I identified minor corrections. This may be normal practice in the finance industry, and had no negative consequences in reality.
