I had two relatively small pensions that I wanted to combine in order to invest and then receive 25% tax free cash .

I honestly can’t think of anything Phil could have done better, there wasn’t a point when I was unclear on any of the process what and when things would happen as he kept me informed all the way through.

Initially when I was made redundant 15 years ago I approached Stephenson-Johnson for advice about pensions. At the time Peter Johnson was very helpful in guiding me and offered me good advice over the years.

Phil took over my account on Peter Johnson's retirement and immediately offered to meet with me and Ellen, my wife. Ellen's circumstances had changed in the past few months (redundancy) and Phil met with us and immediately set to work on understanding both our joint and individual needs. He gave us very sound advice about how he could help us manage our finances (savings and investments). Phil is very approachable and made us feel at ease and confident in him as an adviser.

We are very satisfied with the guidance that we have received and look forward to further dealings in the future as things develop.

In his approach, Phil was sensitive to understanding our concerns and future expectations. He is thorough and efficient. He was very open to discussion and was patient in explaining the pros and cons of different options.

Putting in layman terms how investments are progressing due to my lack of financial terminology and performance.

I had a small cash investment which was not gaining any interest so I sort financial advice

Very good advice. Very knowledgeable. Lovely man to talk to and felt my money was in safe hands. No pressure to invest with Phil’s company.. Always on hand if we need further advice and support.

Even though it is a difficult time for investors and the financial market is unstable I feel comfortable that I have done the right thing with my investment and understand that it may be some time before I see a significant return. I was not pressured to invest in a high risk investment.
