What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking to update and consolidate my personal insurance policies which were taken out 20 years ago before I moved and lived to the UK.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Transferring a personal pension from a previous provider who was no longer reactive to my needs. Also transferring some other investments which were not performing well.

How has Yianni Theodorou helped you?

Transferred pension and other investments with the minimum of fuss to come under his supervision.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

From initial investment in early 2015 to the end of 2019, my investments performed very well. Then the Covid pandemic struck and for the next 9 months things took a nosedive before recovering all the value lost by the end of 2020. The investments then performed very well again throughout 2021. However, at the time of writing (4th November 2022), my investments have lost 15% of their value from the beginning of 2022 and are currently the value they were at back in June 2020. While I realise that things are largely out of the direct control of IFAs like Yianni, this is a very worrying time for investors and seems to me to be due not only to the continued incompetence of the three Governments we have had to endure for the last 3 years but also to the undue influence which the financial markets currently seem to have on global affairs and sovereign Governments' political decisions. While billionaires and millionaires won't particularly notice or be affected by a 15% loss of value, such a hit to Joe Public can have very serious consequences, both financially and emotionally.

Originally Yianni gave me financial advice nearly 30 years ago for a Mortgage. The advice was so good and has been ever since - and here we are all these years later.

We were unable to get a mortgage - Yianni found a good one for us. Since then, Yianni has looked after my Pension(s) and the results are far better than average year on year.

Yes, I would have looked for another FA if they weren't.

That's a difficult one as I'm not a financial expert. Plain talking, good explanations of what could happen - both positive and negative. Extremely helpful. Fantastic customer service. There isn't anything more that I could ask for.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Had an insurance payout and needed advice on how to make my money work for me.

How has Yianni Theodorou helped you?

Yianni took over my portfolio when my previous advisor moved abroad. Yanni was great explaining things to me (several times sometimes!) giving me different options but not trying to push me into something I wasn’t happy about. The advice he gives me suits my personal risk profile. He’s emails or phones me back if I have a question about an investment or need to withdraw some money very promptly. I’m so pleased with his service that both my daughters have had Yanni advise them also. He again was very understanding to them both as at the time they were late teens and rather nervous.

Yianni has been my FA for 20+ years and has always looked after my financial planning needs. The most recent advice being the consolidation of my pension schemes onto one online scheme which has performed very well.

How has Yianni Theodorou helped you?

My original contact with Yianni was for a mortgage as I was unable to find a lendor with a deal that suited my situation. Yianni sourced and supported a successful mortgate application. Since then, Yianni has managed my pension(s) and given financial advice on many instances, i.e. investments. Wanted advice to see if it was beneficial for me to transfer a frozen pension into a private scheme. Wanted to lump together 5 mini pension pots into one main one. Wanted advice of how to pay off mortgage early and get financial planning in order to do this the most effective way

Pension now in private scheme which has accrued far more money than if it had been left where it was. Mini pensions now amalgamated to one fund with excellent financial benefit already accrued. Always given superb advice on financial planning with every step explained clearly. Regular informative meetings always mean that any changes i may wish to make for my future financial planning are facilitated effectively and efficiently.
