I wanted to take a drawdown from a workplace based pension.

Peter met with me and following that he arranged a seemless transition of funds. We then looked at my other pensions and in income needs. We made changes to how some of my money was invested and this has proved to be very successful. Following the receipt of an inheritance I contacted Peter who advised on my various options.

I retired in 2016 and needed help deciding the best options for my work pensions. I have always felt that Peter is extremely knowledgeable on a broad range of subjects and have never regretted my decision.

Initially he guided me through the intricacies of Income Drawdown pensions, which was not something I was conversant with. He also gave very sound advice about the Tax benefits and potential options to invest the lump sums available from my various pensions. I worked for most of my life in Financial Service companies and I have really enjoyed being able to learn more about financial products I knew existed, without fully understanding how they work. Peter has the ability and patience to explain complex subjects in a logical and understandable way.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Most definitely. I am a cautious person and opted for fairly low risk products. Despite much global uncertainty during the last 8 years I have been pleased with the strategy I adopted.

What could they have done better?

I am sitting here trying to think of something but very difficult. Apart from the occasion he quoted the FTSE as 6 thousand and something, rather than 7 thousand and something one year...... I nearly fell off my chair but I think one slip of the tongue and be forgiven !
