I had several meetings with Kay and the assets were transferred. Mostly it is simply a matter of monitoring, moving money under an ISA umbrella. There was an issue related to a pension for contracting out of SERPS that was caused by the provider not giving Kay's company the correct information but that has been resolved now. SInce then, Kay has offered me advice on declaring some tax on a bond that was helpful.

After recovering from a sizeable change in personal circumstances in 2021, I wanted to speak to someone about getting my affairs in order financially to try and make my money work harder for me rather than simply sitting in a current account.

How has Kay Mechial helped you?

In the 8 weeks or so that I've been working with Kay, the information he has provided me with as well as the presentation of options available to me has been instrumental in allowing me to make informed decisions about my current and future finances. Kay has always acted in an advisory capacity, and I have never felt pressured in any way to make a decision that I am not entirely comfortable with. Kay and I were able to build a rapport quickly and easily, and his communication style and approach to a regular meeting cadence has made him very easy to work with.

Mostly it was fine. There were a number of moments of confusion, mostly as a result of my misunderstanding some of the documentation. In a way, it was a consequence of having so many simultaneous actions and getting confused between them from time to time. But Kay seemed to understand the problem each time and helped me figure out I had gone wrong.

After insurance company got my medical report, it was more than 1 year old. They said they would like to see my recent medical report. If the report cannot be submitted within 90 days, we will have to submit a new application. Due to some urgent issues I had to travel abroad and could not come back to get my medical test done. Kay has been very understanding and patient for me to come back to UK and get the test done. After the new report, insurance company offered me the life insurance. What has been remarkable about Kay is that most of the people will not follow up with clients after 90 days and start a new application as it is a time consuming process but Kay has been in touch with me consistently throughout the whole process.
