We found the technicalities of setting up a trust to mitigate inheritance tax liability far beyond our understanding and a few points have been a surprise. 1. The length of time to complete the process (9 months) 2. The requirement to contribute further funds into the trust (£1010.28) 3. The delays when dealing with Transact - particularly when attempting to set up on line access to accounts 4.The requirement to subscribe to an authenticate app (£69 pa) 5. The requirement by Transact to verify our son Christopher's ID at the very last stage, but not for our other children 6. The absolute patience of Kingsfleet staff, particularly Jess, when dealing with my lack of understanding computer technology!

Thank you for your comments about your experience, although it is disappointing to read. Our team has been equally frustrated with the provider which has been particularly difficult in this instance. What is encouraging is that, in both your comments and in our subsequent telephone conversation, you stressed the valuable support our team has given throughout the process. Establishing Trust arrangements is always more complex and time consuming especially when, as in your case, trustees are in multiple geographic locations. Trust registration is also required, which leads to further time and an additional cost. Looking back in our timeline, it looks like we have held numerous calls and meetings with you while the case has progressed. I am grateful that you have acknowledged the support that you have received from our team and your comments and our phone call confirm that your scores do not reflect the support and advice you have received from Kingsfleet.Repeat review
