An independent adviser can advise across a sufficiently diverse range of products to help meet a client’s objectives. They are in no way limited to products provided by companies they work for.

Having worked in the financial services industry for over 26 years, I have developed the skills and knowledge to provide advice on retirement planning, investments and protection. When I’m away from the office you’ll find me watching the mighty Ipswich Town Football Club!! I have been a financial adviser since 1999 having previous worked in insurance for a global company in Ipswich. My particular areas of interest are investments, pensions both pre and post retirement and inheritance tax planning. I have the full Diploma qualification. My client base is very diverse ranging from young professionals just starting their financial planning journey to much older clients completing theirs. It is an amazing privilege and responsibility knowing so much about a client’s private affairs and their hopes and fears. I believe the key to being a good adviser is having a reasonable level of technical knowledge but more importantly the ability to listen and connect with what really matters to clients. My spare time tends to revolve around my family and spending time with my wife, 4 children and 3 grandchildren and watching football now that I have hung up my football boots, albeit I still play the odd charity match.
