Our previous advisor was retiring and our portfolio was taken over by a corporate company. We wanted someone who understood our financial needs, are attitudes to risk. Before transferring our business to Paul and his excellent team we 'interviewed' Paul so we could get a better feel for how he works and whether he clearly understood our needs

Consolidated our pensions. Advised on whether to 'cash in' an old pension. Provides detailed, forward looking projections on how our pensions and investments will cover our anticipated long term expenditure. We always feel confident that our investments are performing well and enable us to do what we want to do during our retirement.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We wanted to optimise our savings and pension plans as Company Directors and also to receive a second opinion (in relation to our accountants)regarding the management of tax liabilities.

How has Paul Davidson helped you?

Paul was able to confirm that our income and tax arrangements (based on a mix of a minimum salary and dividends) were appropriate, to provide advice on insurance arrangements and to guide us through the consolidation and management of our pension funds. He has also consistently reviewed our financial/ savings plans and advised us on adaptations that might be desirable (for example regarding the timing of clearing our mortgage.)

Yes! We are confident that our current savings/ pension and insurance arrangements are optimal, and have also received much useful advice on other aspects of our financial management.
