Please provide a brief comment about your experience with Julian

I thought Julian was extremest helpful. I had a few of my own ideas which he supported and he did not push me into anything and was in fact positive about various plans which he encouraged me to explore before potentially using his services. I found this to be refreshing and unlike some advisers that I have encountered he came across as more interested as me as a person and what my needs might be as opposed to merely making money

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a number of pension sharing and pension sharing orders and didn’t know where to start to find out how much they were worth and amalgamate them into one.

How has Julian Bingle helped you?

Julian reviewed all my pensions, advised which to leave alone, and which to re-organise in to one pot. He took care of the pension sharing orders, particularly one that was very slow processing it, and keeping me informed all the time. He took away all the stress of sorting my pensions out.

Yes, and more than I’d hoped.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

25 years ago I was employed by a company that offered to pay into a private pension if I had one. So I sought out a suitable company met Julian. Prior to that I had been in a non-contributory final salary scheme with my previous employer.

How has Julian Bingle helped you?

He reviewed my financial affairs, explained how private pension schemes worked and offered a plan that met my needs at that time. Over the last 25 years he has been my 'go to' man on various financial matters providing useful and effective investment advice. I have used him to regularly to review my pension investments, where we have jointly developed my pension, as well as using him to give me useful financial advice on a range of matters.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I am now retired and live comfortably. I am pleased to confirm that due to Julian's advice and guidance the pension investments I made using him have been very profitable. I very pleased with the outcome

What could they have done better?

In Julian's case, I can't fault his approach and his obvious knowledge of his subject. I have recommended him to my friends on several occasions all of whom have been equally complimentary about there experiences with him.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

3 years ago I made the decision to retire from full time work as an employee, I formed my own company and now work freelance. I had significant pension funds from nearly forty years of employment. I wanted to reinvest in a variable draw down sipp, my wife also had pension funds that were consolidated with mine at the same time.

How has Julian Bingle helped you?

Julian who was personally recommended to me by a work colleague, explained all our options very clearly. He very efficiently dealt with all the various pension fund moves and re-investment. He very carefully and clearly indicated the various options and routes we could go down. Always consulting us and continually assessing our aversions or otherwise to risks/gains etc.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Thus far we have been delighted with our relationship with Julian and the manner in which he works. He's always available on the phone and is extremely responsive to any mail inquiries. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic he has produced a regular news letter updating us how the World events might be affecting our investments.

What could they have done better?

I have no reason to fault him tbh. In my opinion thus far all the decisions made have been entirely appropriate and correct. This during a time of extreme financial hiatus around the world.

Julian is incredibly knowledgeable about his subject and conducts a great deal of research before clearly laying out the all details and explaining the best course of action. He enabled me to set up a stocks and shares ISA and plan for my financial future. Since opening the ISA Julian has been there to monitor the performance of the account and advise where necessary. I am extremely grateful for all his guidance and assistance - I know my money could not be in better hands.

Very much so. Thanks to Julian I know my money is in the correct place and working hard for me. I also know that should I have any concerns at any time, Julian will respond swiftly and provide as much support as he can.

I had some money/pensions in various different places and decided that I needed some help from a Financial Adviser as my knowledge was insufficient to look after my own affairs.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had savings in various different accounts that I had set up at different times and some no longer had good interest rates, so the money was hardly growing at all. I wanted to consolidate the funds in a way that would give a better return on investment and make future saving more streamlined. I had also just started a new job and needed to choose how to set up a new pension scheme there. Julian had been recommended to me by a family member who had had a very positive experience working with him.

How has Julian Bingle helped you?

As someone new to investing who had little knowledge of it, Julian helped me understand my attitude to risk and the investment options available that would best suit this. He took time to understand my personal situation and goals for the future, so I really felt the advice he gave was tailored to my needs and my income, including making sure I had built-in flexibility for how my situation might change in future, which I appreciated. Julian never made me feel rushed into a decision or pressured into something that wasn't right for me. He gave me time to process recommendations and was always approachable and responsive if I had any questions. Ultimately he helped me consolidate my savings in a new stocks and shares ISA with a much better return on investment and helped me set a savings goal that was tailored to my long-term goals and income. He also advised me on setting up the pension at my new job in terms of which scheme to opt for and what contributions to make.

Yes, I have been very satisfied with the outcome so far. My savings are working much harder for me than before, are so much easier to manage and I can track everything online. Just as importantly, Julian is very trustworthy and proactive, so I feel confident that he will continue to advise in my best interests and be there to provide ongoing support as and when is necessary. So, as well as seeing financial gains, I feel reassured that I have found in Julian an advisor whom I trust and can return to in future.

I can't really think of anything Julian could have done better. He is highly knowledgeable, thorough, straightforward and patient and seems to genuinely care about his clients and what is right for them. It's a pleasure to work with him.

How has Julian Bingle helped you?

I had known Julian for several years through shared sports interest. Julian spoke to me informally about some options when I'd asked for his thoughts on what to do with my money. As I had no previous experience of investments Julian was able to explain some of the options at the right level for my lack of knowledge . I was pleased because he made what I had presumed would be a very complicated straight forward. He listened carefully to what my attitude was towards savings and that I wanted to take only medium risk . He gave me plenty of time to process any information and was readily available to explain and clarify anything before I invested. I was impressed that he remembered all previous conversations and I felt any decisions made were mutually understood and agreed.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes . It has only been a few months but I was delighted to see how my investments have progressed. The APP for AJ Bell is very easy to use.

What could they have done better?

It is difficult to say that there was anything Julian could have done better. It helped that I already knew him so I trust him implicitly. He is very enthusiastic and seems to really enjoy what he does. Julian never pushed anything that I wasn't keen on. For example I was certain that I would only want medium to lower risk investments and Julian advised accordingly.

Several pensions from several employers over a period of years and wanted to consolidate them. Desired to have them "managed" rather than sat there with no active management.
