I am pleased to say that having met with Laura last week for the first time I will most definitely look to deal with her in the future. In addition to this the initial meeting did not incur a fee and the advice given was very useful. So off to a great start.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

At the beginning of last year I needed bespoke independent financial advice and I started searching for companies near I live.

How has Laura Bailey helped you?

Just like what was promised on Stirling and Law’s website, Laura Bailey has provided the Highest level of customer care. In my opinion she’s highly experienced, skilled and specialist in the fields that I needed independent financial advice for. Laura has listened and understood what my needs were. Laura appeared to have all the time I needed, always responding my emails and messages promptly. She supported me throughout the process which was somewhat complicated.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The outcome was brilliant.. all was sorted without delay.. with no stress..

What could they have done better?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Following a marriage breakdown and a bit of a panic re what I could do next I spoke to Laura on recommendation of others to help me remortgage

She not only found me a product that met my needs, she was tenacious with seeing if rates changed and keeping me updated and making sure I fully understood my choices.

Better than I hoped. I’m able to stay in my home and also be more financially secure then I thought would be the case.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had been with my previous provider for three years having been transferred there by my original adviser when she retired. Whilst I understand investments go down as well as up, I then proceeded to watch my investments steadily decrease with no hint of an “up” at all. Several calls to try to discuss changing my risk profile and review the account were met with the answer that the market was slow and that I had to “Grin and bear it”. Looking at other providers and reading the financial press demonstrated that that was rubbish and that other providers offered a better approach.

How has Laura Bailey helped you?

Working on the principle that “people do business, not businesses” I approached a few local financial advisers to discuss moving my fund and Laura immediately understood my situation and came across as being very knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with her skills with quick mental arithmetic to paint a series of broad brush financial examples. Having had a pension for many years I was aware of how the process worked and the mechanics of the account and Laura offered a sensible and balanced recommendation.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I’m very happy with the transfer and Laura’s recommendations , I now have a local advisor to talk to as opposed as an anonymous remote call centre.

What could they have done better?

Nothing, I was kept informed on the progress of the transfer at each stage, everything was handled quickly and professionally.

Laura sat down with my wife and I, taking the time to understand our current situation as well as the direction we want to take things. Everything was presented extremely clearly and even during this initial meeting, Laura pointed out some obvious things that we should really consider. Highly recommend having a conversation with Laura if you think you may be in need of an IFA.
