What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I first met Chris when I required advice on the transfer of a pension for me. From the moment that we first spoke, in late 2017, his approach to and the facilitating of the transfer, was extremely smooth and expeditious, giving me the result that I needed.

The initial transfer has been very welcome and profitable for me and my family. Throughout the many meetings that we have had since, he has explained everything in layman’s terms, and any consequences associated with such a decision. The decisions that have been made have been efficient and profitable.

What could they have done better?

I have been extremely satisfied with the support that I have had from Chris and the team at Agile. They are there when you need them. In addition the portal that they provide, gives me immediate access to my account and up to date information, documents & valuations, all in one place.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I started to use Chris after Barclays bank abruptly stopped providing financial advice.

Chris stepped in and provided me with advice on what to do with my existing investments and what future investments would best suit my risk profile.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The outcomes from the advice I have received ( over more than 10 years now ) has seen my finances contiue to grow in line with my expectations for the level of risk I am prepared to accept. Furthermore over the years that I have known Chris I believe we have established a freindly relationship and level of trust that far exceeds anythink that could ever be provided by any bank or large investment organisation.

What could they have done better?

I can't think of anything that could have gone better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a number of pension schemes of various types and with retirement getting closer wanted to have them consolidated to allow me to understand my financial position.

How has Chris Thorpe helped you?

Chris and the team helped me consolidate and invest my numerous DC pensions and gave me advice on my Final Salary ones. They took care of almost all the administration which meant I didn't need to worry. I now have clarity and access to my schemes on-line and in real time to understand their performance. They took and continue to take the time to come out and see me in person and explained my options thoroughly. I now receive an annual report and am offered on-going guidance and support. They also helped me put my LPA and will in place.

So far so good!

Nothing - Chris, Cindy and Karen are all great.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Having been made redundant during Covid times, I wondered whether my wife and I could afford to retire early or needed to look for another position in my late fifties. We needed some financial advice.

How has Chris Thorpe helped you?

We contacted Chris, had a ‘face to face’ at home and discussed our situation. Chris drew up a detailed financial report and recommendations for pensions and investments and we made our decisions from there. We have also benefited from advice on estate planning, wills, LPA’s etc.
