He has taken considerable time to undertsand my level of knowledge and attitude to risk before making any proposals. He has also been speedy in response to the wide variety of questions I have put to him. Martin has also made some helpful suggestions as to possible ways forward in financial planning for the family as a whole.

To date all seems to be working well. It will take several years before a more informed judgement can be made,

Have a word with the Chancellor to simplify tax rules on trusts !!

I needed advice and help in relation to my various pensions and ISA investments with a view to retirement.

How has Martin Stanley helped you?

Martin took from my shoulders all my worries about where to start with various pension and ISA companies. I was looking to retire. I needed someone to take over all necessary negotiations with these companies, and provide advice as to the relevant options. Martin did exactly what I needed, and saved me many hours of struggling to understand how to sort out my finances. As a result, I now feel financially safe, to a level that I did not expect.

Early retirement for health reasons for one of us and planning for early retirement for my wife at the same time. We had money to invest and also wanted to consolidate various smaller pensions my wife had. We were looking for financial planning advice for our future.

Actually listened to what we were looking to achieve. We didn’t feel the same pressure to invest In certain schemes that we had felt from others, instead Martin was friendly and really seemed to have our best interests in mind. It was clear that Martin is looking for long term clients and not just quick hits. He also seemed genuinely very happy for us when he illustrated How our long term financial Planning would allow for a “fantastic retirement”.

It’s too early to say how the investments will work out, but so far Martin has ticked all the boxes we were looking for and a couple we didn’t know about.

Martin and his partner Alan Turton had been financial advisors for my parents for a significant number of years prior to their deaths.

How has Martin Stanley helped you?

Martin managed very complex transactions with my inheritance from my parents estate which involved navigating the intricacies of US financial regulation (given that I am a US resident) in order to allow transfer of equity investments from the UK to the USA. This is not a routine matter and Martin managed the process in a flawless and very transparent manner.

I realised that life gets complicated and it's important to have someone to advocate for you and to discuss financial planning / protection.

Martin goes above and beyond in trying to assist in my experience. He is not reactive but proactive and gives me the comfort that things are in order. There is constant work to do on pensions and investments with rules and regulations changing constantly. Martin is never too busy to respond and always very glad to help.
