I was blown away by Lee's patience and kindness when I came for advice at a really difficult time. He listened attentively and responded to my needs perfectly. Lee suggested a clear, easy ti understand plan before I left which made me feel so much more in control of the situation. He also (very honestly) said that there was nothing much more he could add at this time and that further consultations would not bring benefits worth the costs. Lee is a man of very high integrity and very easy to get along with- I would highly recommend him!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were with a large Financial company in Birmingham and they were taken over. We now felt like little fish in a big pond and not valued! We had dealt with Lee some years before at a previous company he had worked for and were very impressed with his level of service, attention to detail and the personal attention we got from him. When we found he was now at Enhance Financial Planning we knew he was the person we could trust to take over our financial matters and give us the best advice, not just what makes someone a healthy commission! Another plus point his office is only 10 minutes away! We have no hesitation in recommending Lee. He always returns our calls, and arranges appointments if we feel we need face to face contact. All matters he attends to are dealt with promptly and professionally and we feel very safe in his hands. Thank you Lee!

How has Lee Kirven helped you?

Lee has transferred my wife's and my investments into his care, checking each one for it's suitability in the current climate and adjusting or finding better alternatives . He kept us informed at all times and initial consultations were done face to face. The investments were pensions (including a SIPP), ISAs and wrap accounts. We now have an online portal we can access to view all the products. Much easier to understand! We recently needed some money from an ISA and again he actioned it quickly and money was put into the current account when he said it would.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

This has been most definitely the right move to move to Lee, A smile, great service and above all trust! He has achieved the outcome I was hoping for, my finances dealt with on a personal, professional and prompt basis.

What could they have done better?

I can't hold Lee personally responsible for the current state of the world and recent volatile markets but he always says its the long game you are playing with investments. I cannot really think of anything he could have done better, maybe more chocolate digestives when we go to see him!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I knew I needed to stop burying my head in the sand and find out just how much money I would have for my retirement and for how much longer I needed to work (I was in my early 50's at the time). I had a variety of pensions with different organisations and I didn't know whether to merge them or not.

How has Lee Kirven helped you?

Lee was brilliant. He initially did a lot of work showing me and teaching me about how my pension will work for me going forward. He reassured me that even at my age I had enough in my pot to last until I was well into old age. Practically he merged my pensions into a much more flexible arrangement. Most critically he suggested I investigate leaving a final salary pension that I had paid into for a short time (I'd always believed that you never touch a final salary pension!) . When I did find out how much they would offer me to leave it was a substantial amount and a no brainer to accept. This boosted my pension pot considerably. Lee has continued to educate me about how my pension is doing and more recently has suggested changes that made perfect sense and has resulted in my pot increasing even more despite me now taking a salary. Lee has taken time to understand not just my financial needs but takes into account my psychological needs around finance . He never puts pressure on me to do anything but listens, suggests and gives me time to consider each suggestion answering any questions I have honestly and clearly.

Working with Lee I have seen a much better outcome that I was hoping for

What could they have done better?

I don't think Lee could have done anything better because he knew from the start I did not trust financial advisers so I was very wary initially but slowly he built my trust in him and I have now recommended him to at least 8 other people

Bank savings interest rates are at an all time low so I need to find an alternative that would beat inflation rates

I was skeptical at first but Lee put my mind at rest so I took a chance and opened an ISA with him. I have since put further investments in over the last few years. Any advice requested is readily forthcoming. Nice and easy from my point of view. I can keep an eye on my investments on and easy to use website.

the outcome I wanted was to get interest better than inflation. I am aware that I can lose as well as gain but so far the interest has far out stripped inflation and I have a "medium" risk portfolio

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I spoke to three firms regarding pension consolidation and future management. Lee offered the most personable advice - tailored to what I wanted rather than just what he wanted to sell. He gave me reassurance in my current position and therefore gained my trust. I'm happy working with Lee to help me prepare for retirement. The initial consolidation exercise of moving four schemes into one was considerably cheaper than quoted fee's of the other two firms - and has now been completed smoothly.

Lee has consolidated three pensions into one new scheme and is just about to transfer the fourth. I now have an active SIPP invested in funds that I feel match my attitude to risk. I will be making future payments into this scheme for two years at which point I hope to retire.

The poor interest rates prevailing at the current time resulted in my deciding to invest in a Stocks & Shares ISA for the first time. My lack of experience of this type of product meant that I needed help to understand my proposed investment and maximise any returns.

Lee Kirven was very patient in explaining the ISA I was purchasing and we had quite lengthy interviews (via Zoom, due to the lockdown that was in force at the time) to make sure that I understood the possible risks involved and to establish the appropriate level of risk for me personally.

We wanted to begin investing for the future; with limited knowledge of the market and starting with £0 we were looking for someone to advise how we could begin building up an investment.

How has Lee Kirven helped you?

Lee advised an investment plan for us, he tailored the requirement specifically for us (despite our circumstances not being a 'normal' investment case. He came to our home to explain the options, listened to our requirements and presented back something that would work over 5 years but also as long as 25 years. Lee was really friendly and open while also professional and clearly is an expert in this field.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My husband is due to retire in a couple of year's and we were unsure how to go about sorting his personal pension and mortgage. We wanted to lower our present mortgage payments if possible.... but to also be mortgage free by 2018.

How has Lee Kirven helped you?

We met with Lee at his office in Lichfield and found him very friendly and approachable right from the start. With the changes to pension law recently we didn't know where to start to be honest! Lee explained everything in a way we could understand, and advised us of the best way to go.

Within just a couple of months, everything is now sorted, and we have no worries at all about our future. We know that if we need any more advice.... Lee is at the end of the phone for a very reasonable fee. I had an idea in my head before we met of what we would like to achieve ..... and Lee has not disappointed. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending him..... and he makes a lovely cup of Tea!.
