What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was approaching retirement and having been advised in the first instance by Joe Rogers my account was then passed to Tom who has been most helpful in all aspects of my pensions moving forward.

How has Tom Olsak helped you?

Monitoring, reviews and general information. Full annual face to face reviews covering all aspects of my pensions including advice on any aspects that could lead to improving my incomes. All facts were laid out in order that I could make fully informed decisions.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Finally realised that I should have been more on the ball when it came to monitoring the performance of the pensions that I had taken out over the year's.

How has Tom Olsak helped you?

Tom acessed all my pension and help organise them, closing some down that were failing and opening up a brand new pension plan that combined all the poor performing pensions.This then became a fantastic saving fund that was much easier to maintain and manage and Tom meets with me every year to ensure that I am happy with the fund and to discuss any changes i would like to make.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes i have already seen the benefits of Tom's advice and his expertise,the failure of the old pensions has already gone full circle and I am amazed that the new fund is already producing profit and the prospects for the future are extremely good.Obviously no one can forsee the future in this time of uncertainty but I am 100% confident in Tom's ability to steer me and my wife through any troubled waters.

What could they have done better?

I honestly can't think of anything that I can say if only or i wish we had done that.From our very first meeting Tom gave me a plan of action and a step by step account of the way forward.

Would have liked associated fees to be a little less but you get what you pay for and it was my choice to pay and I don’t regret the expertise I was able to access.

To seek support in buying a pension from my pension fund.

Very thorough in questions asked and supportive in fully understanding what I was looking for and he felt assured that I understood aspects I needed to consider to ensure I was able to make an informed decision. He was was very thorough, kept me informed and found me a very satisfactory pension. On the odd occasion I contacted him and left a message he returned my call timely and updated me thoroughly. I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

Yes despite the company my pension was with dragging their heals. Tom supported me in my complaint against the company and I was happy with the evidence Tom could have supplied, if needed, and also the outcome of my complaint.

Our savings needed to be invested to protect their value against inflation, and also to review our financial situation for the future.

Tom has been extremely professional, being helpful in a very honest way, and we believe he's offered financial advice that's always been in our best interests. He's always been available & approachable and happy to answer all queries we've had, treating us respectfully at all times.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

To review my my pension plans as I am approaching the age when planning for the future is more relevant.I have had pensions all my life but have never really checked on their performance.

How has Tom Olsak helped you?

Tom reviewed all my plans to give me a clear picture of what was a good person and what wasn't actually making any money for me.He also checked what pension plans my wife had and what we were likely to receive from the state pension scheme to give us a realistic idea of our financial situation and how we would be in the years up to my eventual retirement.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes indeed my plan's included a split pension scheme that hadn't actually made any real money in year's, which I was very frustrated about as I should have been more pro active with my investments instead of just leaving it to the so called specialists.Tom actually moved 3 of my pension plans into a new pension scheme that has out performed the market for the last 5 year's, so hopefully it will recoup some of the lost year's that the old investment didn't earn anything.Also i released 20% from one of my bigger plans before it was reinvested to which we have made all kinds of changes to our house and lives to which we will be forever grateful to Tom for his guidance and support.

What could they have done better?

I should have been more pro active with my investments in previous years and thankfully Tom has gone some way to re-establish the earning capacity of my pension plans for the next decade.

I wanted to invest so me money to try to ensure it keeps up with inflation as it was not doing so in the bank and I wanted to invest for a future pension.

Tom was very open about risks and possibilities and was very knowledgeable on the possibilities available to meet my needs. He was also available to answer any questions I had.

Too short a time currently, and everything seems to have been affected by the current world and UK financial rollercoaster due to Brexit, Ukraine and Russian war, and the price of energy and goods. My outcomes are more long term.

They seem to have covered what I need and, unfortunately, they don't have control over national and international markets.
