Unfortunately, the annuity offer which I accepted from a different provider was over £4000 annually more than Sanjays quote and was to good to dismiss. Furthermore, there was no fee to pay as this was payed to the annuity broker in commission by the annuity provider

I wanted to change my DB pension into a DC drawdown pension to assist my early retirement plans.

Sanjay took all our financial information and future spend requirements of our planned early retirement at age 55 (at the time I was 52 and my wife was 50). Sanjay evaluated the CETV of my existing DB scheme to confirm it was a good offer and then with his profiling tools was able to confirm a DB transfer was in our best interests for our early retirement plans. My wife has a DB pension (18 years service) so this complimented my transfer. I would say I have a higher than average knowledge level of pensions and retirement plans but Sanjay held our hands through this life-changing decision with clear projections and illustrations and at no time were we pressured into making a decision.

We have the outcome we were hoping for with the DB transfer completed (to Royal London drawdown plan) and Sanjay also helped me move some smaller DC plans I had to the same Royal London drawdown plan. Looking at the figures on my HBOS Final Salary Pension, I had resigned myself to seeing retirement as not an option until my state pension started at 67yrs old, and even then I would probably still need to work!
