I want to thank Michael for his great advice about my pensions. He really helped me understand my financial situation and gave me peace of mind. Michael's advice was spot on and perfect for my needs. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to transfer out from a final salary pension scheme because the benefits within that scheme were not appropriate for my circumstances. Legislation requires that such transfers can only be made on the advice of a qualified and regulated Pensions Transfer Specialist. Michael is such a person.

He provided the appropriate advice and also held my hand throughout what is a tortuous and, in my view, over-regulated process. I have a background in the pensions industry myself but even I was surprised how convoluted the process would be. Michael was able to cut through the bureacracy and provide common sense guidance at every stage.

I was planning on retirement and needed help to sort out the best type of annuities there where.

He helped me by first listening to my requirements for retirement and then suggesting the best type of one for me that suited my finances.

Yes I have better then what I was excepting .

What could they have done better?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to look into taking tax free cash from two pension schemes and also to set up a new pension fund from the two existing schemes.

How has Michael Carlyle helped you?

Michael has facilitated the tax free cash withdrawal and the setting up of the new pension fund. He has provided detailed projections using different scenarios. He has provided financial planning advice and has also advised on possible ISA products for part of the tax free cash.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

With respect to what was requested yes. Only time will tell if the investment performs or not. The outcome will not be known for some time but I am happy with the initial outcome i.e. where I am at presently.

What could they have done better?

I cannot think of anything that they could have done better. They have helped me hugely by arranging home visit appointments and Michael visited me at my home three times. There has been very good communication and a good overall service.

Current pension company unhelpful when trying to access pension
