What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

To discuss pension planning for my husband and I an general financial planning advice.

How has Nigel Wvendth helped you?

He helped to understand our current pension situation and give advice on what to do from now and in the future.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes we feel safe and trust that Nigel will be able to help us plan and deliver the retirement we want and ensure that we are financially secure for the future. He puts us at our ease and knows us as people which allows him to best advise us on the right products which fit us.

What could they have done better?

Nothing, very happy with all of is advice.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to free up some of my old company pension. It was a section 32 plan entitling me to greater than the standard 25% cash free amount. As it was a take the full cash free amount or potentially lose the tax free status on any remaining tax free amount, they would only release the cash if I went through a financial advisor.

How has Nigel Wvendth helped you?

Nigel after a lot of tooing and froing (including the same contraditory information they gave me in my initial enquiries) Nigel has managed to set me up with a new pension, liberate the cash that I wanted and find a home for the excess tax free cash I had take.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Pretty much. There are still a couple of things still going through as I write. It's been a slower process than I had expected, but that is down to bad information and slow processing on the side of the original pension holder, rather than any failing on Nigel's part.

What could they have done better?

It would be easy to say that the process should have gone quicker, but the delays were very much down to the old pension provider. Nigel had to chase and harry them all along the way though. One thing that comes to mind that might be usefull for some people, depending on his solution of course, might be to take people through the setting up of an account on any electronic platform that tracks the clients investment and taking them through a quick tour of how to monitor their investments. Some people are more comfortable with computers than others so a quick run through might be beneficial if an online platform is available.

Yes, the outcome provides comfort and peace of mind that the optimum financial solution for our needs has been identified.

What could they have done better?

Very difficult to think of anything that could have been better. If pushed to come up with something a live on-line interaction & review of the SIPP fund in which we have invested would be interesting.

Nigel visited me in my home, and the meeting lasted nearly 2 hours, he conducted our business in a professional, friendly and unhurried manner. He was most informative, looking at my financial wishes and aspirations, and throwing out other very useful possible scenarios. He was very positive, and clear in what he could achieve for me.

Nigel has advised on the most appropriate pension plan for my circumstances and has gone above and beyond in helping ensure the pension has met my circumstances and looked at ways in which to help ensure some degree of financial security for my son and I.

most definetly.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Nigel has been extremely helpful but not at all pushy. he has listened to my circumstances and taken them into account at every step. Nothing has been too much bother and his communication has been brilliant.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I am self employed and was aware that I had not prepared for the future in terms of savings and pension and I was also not covered should I be unable to work.

How has Nigel Wvendth helped you?

Nigel and I talked at great length about my finances and he made some very helpful suggestions which I have acted upon. At no time was I under any pressure to go with the plans he had suggested and I really feel that he has acted in my best interest.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes and he is helping me continue to make plans for my future.

What could they have done better?

I honestly couldn’t be more happy with the service Nigel has provided. I’ve had a bad experience in the past where my best interest certainly wasn’t key. Nigel has listened to me extensively and put together a very thorough plan which is not only helpful now but will be helpful in the future as we look to mortgage renewal, which I will be doing with Nigel.
