Alex was very welcoming and very quickly put us at ease. We talked about all different aspects of our business needs. Alex quickly realised we needed the professional guidance from an accountant and introduced us to Philip George who seems very knowledgeable in his field. Alexander has explained in detail how our funds can be invested to obtain the best outcome at the present time and also for opportunities in the future. He explains this using good examples of how this will support us in our future plans.

In specific areas the outcome has been positive but unfortunately owing to the market situation at the present time, not all investments have given the expected growth.

What could they have done better?

At this point I would not propose any areas that could have been done better.

Various small amounts of money in different funds/bonds, etc., for both myself and husband. We looked for a safe, secure company which would manage our future funding and Forrestor Boyd helped.

How has Alexander Munn helped you?

He has gone that extra mile in supporting and explaining - in great detail should we need it, or in layman's terms as to how best our money and investments according to our lifestyle and future requirements. Sadly my husband recently passed away and Alex helped enormously with the first tranche of 'requirements' necessary to shut down and manage a lifestyle for me.

Speaking a s a lay person with little financial knowledge, there is nothing they could have done better money wise. The abrupt closure of York office, plus sudden departure of some personnel & move to Leeds was a little unsettling.

When I retired 10 years ago I needed advice to handle my private pension fund . I chose Forrester Boyd as they had been the accountants for the firm of solicitors I was a partner in. They had always given sound and understandable advice and I felt confident that their financial Services would also be good. This has certainly been the case.

How has Alexander Munn helped you?

Alex Munn took over my account several years ago when my previous advisor left. since then his service and advice has been super. I trust his judgement completely. I do not follow the investment markets in sufficient depth to have confidence so feel very reassured that Alex has always given consistent and excellent advice. He is very professional but also always very approachable and friendly. He also has an excellent support team.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I have been delighted with the way the fund has performed through the time Alex has advised. These have been challenging times and the fund has dipped and then recovered in various circumstances but I have always taken the long term view and never worried about short term changes. I do not suffer sleepless nights as a result of Alex's competence !

I cannot think of anything.

Alexander has been very clear with his suggestions and his advice for long term planning was excellent. He chose the right portfolio for me at my time of life and his suggestions made a lot of sense.

Prior to Alexander there were several years where my portfolio wasn't being managed. Partly this was my fault for not getting in touch, but equally a chase up and review would have been good. This has all changed with Alexander might I add.
