What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I left full-time permananent employment in the corporate sector and set up my own advisory firm. I was looking for a well regarded advisor initially to help provide me with pensions advice and, in parallel investments and savings.

How has Michael Trombacco helped you?

Michael's initial advice was very helpful and clear. His preliminary advice (even before pensions, investments and savings advice) was to have a will put in place and appoint Powers of Attorney.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The progess to date has been beyond my expectations, despite a number of severe global economic circumstances influencing this.

What could they have done better?

To be honest, not much more. Perhaps I would have preferred a flate rate fee rather than a percentage as the basis of the fee structure but because the returns have been very good, this more than makes up for the percentage fee structure.

Michael continues to play a really important role in supporting me in my hopes for our future. I can sometimes suffer with anxiety, especially around money; but talking with Mike always makes me feel better. He never fails to be kind and patient and his sympathetic understanding of how stressed I can become really helps. Mike has always understood what I need my investment to do and, most importantly, his excellent advice has led to our investment growing.

How has Michael Trombacco helped you since your last review?

Closely and skillfully monitors investment performance, recommends switching funds based on performance and trends where necessary. Annual reviews very often demonstrate positive outcomes of decisions made.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I tried making investments with equities without much more success than using a long term savings account. By chance Michael Trombacco visited our business at the time and I was instantly attracted to his advice and guidance. He removed the uncertainty about setting up a private pension and consolidating my previous pensions with various employers where is was prudent to do so.

How has Michael Trombacco helped you?

Michael Trombacco has regularly each year provided a full financial review of my private pension and ISA investments. And has promptly repsonded to any email questions I might of had in between. He is a friendly guy, impartial and has proven his worth over time. Managing the inevitable paperwork when investting in new funds or drawing down cash from existing investements has been an administrative blessing.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Over 10 years my investments have increased by 132%. This is a remarkable outcome driven by Michael Trombacco's expertise and advice. The trick has been to trust him in his judgement of global events taking place and never panic when the market falls, eg 2008 financial crash, COVID, etc.

What could they have done better?

My only regret is not seeing Michael Trombacco face to face like the old days when he would visit our home to undertake a financial review. But I recognise that in this modern day and age of technology having online meetings and consultations is the way ahead.
