I was given Peter as an advisor through an employer many years ago, I thought the advice was so good I stayed as a client long after leaving said employment.

Advice such as which funds would suit my targets and when it’s best to draw or buy an annuity has made retirement easier than I expected

I was introduced to Peter in 2007 by a retiring Financial Advisor. I was confused about my investments and was looking for advice and guidance to have a long term plan with my Mortgage and planing my retirement.

How has Peter Fulcher helped you?

Peter explained clearly and simply the investments I had, he immediately understood my needs and where I wanted to be. Throughout the time I have been with Peter my circumstances have changed both positively and negatively, whatever my circumstances have been Peter has given my financial options in a way I could understand to then make make my own decisions about my investments. I have always felt that Peter talks to me as an individual rather than “just another client “, he understands when I want to talk and when I don’t but still manages to communicate in either situation. As I head ever closer to retirement it is reassuring to have Peter steer me the right direction with understandable opinions.

My investments have far and away exceeded any expectation I had. I have recommended Peter to my own children to seek financial advice and guidance when they require it.

My husband and I were considering early retirement and needed advice on options around workplace pension, private pension, redundancy payment and some savings.

Peter untangled a lot of mystery around pensions and investments and the options available to us and we made immediate tax savings through maximising pension contributions. The advice and support we received made us realise that we could indeed retire earlier than originally planned. Initially, on redundancy in 2019, need for urgent financial support and sorting pension, enabling me to take early retirement due to the superb advice and support over a number of months. Peter is always there when needed ever since.

How has Peter Fulcher helped you?

Peter's knowledge of the financial world enabled me to manage my redundancy payment, together with pension and invest in a way that has ensured I have had a good income until my state pension kicks in this year. In addition things change, for example a recent inheritance. A quick email and an appointment is booked rapidly for sound advice on what best to do next. As we know Peter from years ago, we no longer live locally to him but he is always willing to meet face to face if needed. However we are more than happy to arrange a video call as Peter's easy manner makes it feel as if he is here in the room with us and we are always happy with the outcomes and advice given. Basically, Peter has taken away all the headaches and worry around financial planning. We discuss our needs for the coming financial year and he ensures everything is sorted for us. He checks on the risks we wish to take with regard to investments regularly and we have been more than happy with our investment turnover , despite the challenges of the last few years with Brexit and Covid.

Absolutely. As mentioned the world of finance has been hit by Brexit and Covid so our expectancy of profit on our investments hasn't been that high. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had tried a number of advisers to advise me on long term pension planning and had not really gelled with any of them. I can't remember how I came across Peter - it was over 20 years ago - and I wasimmediately impressed with his acumen and energy.

How has Peter Fulcher helped you?

For the last 20 or so years he has helped me to formualte a strategy which would, firstly, enable me to pay off my mortgage and secondly to have enough money to live on for the rest of my life after retirement. Specifically he advised me on the optimal amounts to take out from my company to obtain the maximum tax relief and build up my pension pot.

Yes - my mortgage was paid off immediately on retirement and my pension pot is sufficient to fund a decent lifestyle indefinitely.
