I approached BPI to provide advice on early retirement options, workplace pension and redundancy payments.

Mandy spent a lot of time helping me to maximise my pension contributions and associated tax relief during my last year of employment. She has a fantastic way of explaining things clearly and simply. If you ask for a call back, you know she will respond quickly and have all your information to hand.

I have been contributing to company pension and to ISA and wanted to carry out a review with an advisor and obtain a projection of potential retirement income to see if any and what changes would be required now in order to achieve my targets.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to consolidate my pensions in readiness for retirement and we are downsizing our house to release funds as well.

How has Mandy Veal helped you?

I was just happy to sort my pensions out and was going to invest funds from the house sale myself. My initial meeting with Mandy was very informative and showed me that I could do so much more with the funds available. Mandy was very knowledgeable and explained things in a way that I could understand. Ever since our initial meeting both Mandy and BPI have done everything they said they would and have achieved things that I couldn’t have on my own. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to remortgage as my current lender would not extend the term on my interest only mortgage. I made a few enquiries and realised that most mortgage lenders were not interested. It was further complicated as this was a second home which a member of my family live in.

How has Mandy Veal helped you?

Mandy placed our mortgage with a well known mortgage company, with a good fixed rate and managed to extend the term for me for a further 16 years. This now gives me more breathing space to sell the property when required as this is how I intend to repay the borrowing.

Yes and the solicitors costs were free and there was no application fee.

Interested in buying another property or caravan.

How has Mandy Veal helped you?

We had a one hour telephone discussion where she advised me on equity release, stamp duty, interest rates and arrangement fees. She discussed my age regarding being young for equity release and asked if I had considered down sizing to prevent taking out equity release. She gave me lots of options to think about. Explained how complex it was to come out of equity release if I changed my mind and wanted to sell current property. We talked about two sets of bills with two properties.

Yes. After great thought have decided against it.

Nothing better. In the current COVID climate Mandy was unable to visit me to discuss face to face, however I was offered zoom of which I declined.
