What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I left full time employment with a good pension and needed to ensure that my self employed income could be deployed to provide for a safe retirement.

How has Andrew Flowers helped you?

By ensuring there was a solid base to my financial planning to meet my goals; by reminding me of the importance of an appropriate level of protection in self employment through various insurances - without ever giving a hard sell for any specific policy; on at least two occasions by providing me with advice that resulted in paying less tax or ensuring that my National Insurance contributions were at the required level; by providing me with other contacts in the financial planning world (e.g. for capital gains tax advice) who have proved to be very helpful. And of course by having a good chat about skiing, dogs and holidays!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. I asked Andrew to help me plan for about ten years of work before being able to access my retirement savings - turned out to be nine years of work and can access my retirement savings exactly as planned.

I had quite a large amount of money just sitting in bank accounts and very little financial knowledge but knew I needed to put it to some use.

How has Andrew Flowers helped you?

I had several meetings with Andrew discussing what risks I was willing to take and what I wanted in terms of financial security in the future and over four hours (two separate meetings ) he explained various options to me in very easy to understand language (I'm definitely a words not numbers person) and then created a plan for me that fitted everything that I was hoping to achieve without taking more risks than I was willing to take.

I've just had my first six month review and I'm very happy with the outcomes thus far. I wish I'd got in touch sooner.

Once retired I realised I needed Professional advice and help to look after the pension pot and maintain that pot to ensure I lived comfortably for the rest of my life. Initially I went with one of the large platform providers, I then realised they are all things to all people. I knew of Andrew so I went with Vizion Wealth, where I have received excellent service and personal care.

He has helped steer my finances, through good and importantly the turbulent times(downside). The resources Vizion are able to employ have kept my investments sheltered during the rocky ride of 2022. The investments are constantly checked and changes made to the funds to ensure any losses are limited but better still the funds grow.

Once again 2022, has been a roller coaster ride for investments / funds, so the outcome for this year has been pretty good.

The Vouchedfor entry for Andrew (or rather Vizion Wealth) says he can provide Specialist Pension Transfer advice. This is not the case.. My contact with Vizion was a complete waste of my and their time....

Dear John, We apologise if there was a misunderstanding with the services we provide. As a firm myself and my business partner both hold the pension transfer specialist qualification which is displayed on our Vouchedfor profile. However, due to changes in the professional indemnity insurance market, maintaining an authorisation for defined benefit advice has become near on impossible for smaller independent financial advisers. Therefore, we now partner with larger defined benefit specialist to provide this advice where prospective clients are looking for independent defined benefit advice which was provided to you. We are surprised you have decided to leave a 1 star review in this scenario, however, we have taken onboard your feedback and will remove our pension transfer specialist listing from the Vouchedfor website. Andrew has taken my pension pot and invested it on my behalf, giving me a monthly pension to suit my needs. He provided ad-hoc advice on financial matters, such as IHT and also provides two face to face (currently over zoom) reviews each year where we go through the performance of my investment and any risks and issues and what Vizion Wealth have done to mitigate and protect my pension.
