She gave me lots of advice, but unfortunately she couldn't provide me with the service I would eventually need as it's not her area of expertise.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to consolidate 4 Pensions (one of which was a Final Salary Scheme) into my own SIPP, obtaining investment advice for the SIPP, raise a Mortgage and buy a House, using the Tax Free Lump Sum to provide the Deposit.

Shannon Currie and Phil Billingham were instrumental in achieving the above, combined with their very efficient and friendly staff. They handled some complex matters effectively, efficiently and timely.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It is still ongoing as it is early days but I am delighted with how it is all progressing.

What could they have done better?

We had a fundamental misunderstanding at the start of our relationship, due to the way the Risk Questionnaire was structured. I would suggest the format is reviewed to handle cases such as mine which is somewhat unusual. This would avoid time being wasted at the outset.
