As per usual David was very clear that he knew what our requirements were and gave us the appropriate advice. David also made sure that we understood what the advice was and that we knew all of the risks we were taking.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
It is early days yet,*only 2 months) but we are confident that we will see the appropriate outcomes over the next few months

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
I was previously using St James's Place but not happy with the service & felt that the charges were excessive. I wanted a genuinely independent IFA but had the resources to offer both a wide range of investments plus the depth of service for me and the next generation. I transferred the non StJP investments initially and was happy with the process and results then moved the rest over to Applwood

David set out his suggestions with very visible costs, a full review of my attitude to risk & good regular review & advice sessions on a 1 to 1 basis.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
The advice service is exactly what I had been looking for & I remain happy after almost 10 years of advice

Its early stages for us, but I'm sure David will keep up his good work.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
I approached David Pritchard for assistance with financial planning with the main requirement being to pay off a mortgage within 5 years and to generate some good returns on my investments.
How has David Pritchard helped you?
Unfortunately David has not helped at all and quite the contrary his guidance has resulted in substantial losses and consequential financial hardship.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Most definitely not. The initial consultation with David appears to have contained overly optimistic promises and despite verbal guarantees of 6-8% ROI per annum, almost two years on my overall consequential losses (not just portfolio) represents approximately 25-30% of my initial investment (as at September 2023). Given the current situation and recent developments, my case is proceeding through the Ombudsman due to potential misrepresentations and omissions. Thankfully digital recordings exist. I should also highlight that although my investments have made significant losses, both Applewood and Fidelity continue to take their commission - it would appear they are the only winners here!
What could they have done better?
It’s probably easier not to respond to this question otherwise it's unlikely to be published. As referenced a complaint is being pursued via the Ombudsman which will reference all of the issues from the initial consultation to the current date.
