Before finishing work I wanted some long term security.
How has Neil Henderson helped you?
Continued to advise on investment matters. Helped setting up power of attorney. Given guidance on wills and other legal issues. Generally been extremely supportive, knowledgeable and caring.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
My finances are in a good place. What has been suggested and acted upon has come to fruition. Power of attorney is in place and will is up to date.
What could they have done better?
I could say come more often but that is just selfishly wanting regular reassurances. I know he is available by phone or email if there are any queries or issues I need sorting.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
Our first venture into investments was with Peter Rutherford in Morpeth whose personal friendly advice served us well for many years even following his expansion into Rutherford Wilkinson. After Peter’s retirement, and now a larger firm, we never felt comfortable with the financial advisers that were allocated to us. That was until Neil was appointed and our confidence restored. We were therefore delighted to follow him when Mission was formed.
How has Neil Henderson helped you?
His friendly and unbiased knowledgeable advice – always advice so that the final decision is always ours – means that we are confident that he has our best interests in mind regarding our finances. It is a pleasure to meet him for our annual reviews. He is always well prepared, producing clear and detailed reports and remembers details both personal and financial from our last meeting. He is regarded almost as a friend rather than just a financial adviser.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Considering the vagaries of the markets over recent time, yes, after a slow start, a better return than in a bank.
What could they have done better?
Nothing that we can think of.
