Simon Gould BScEcon (Hons) APFS Chartered Financial Planner With a background in economics Simon has developed Kilsby Williams & Gould’s investment process. His clients are mainly successful business people and professionals. In recent years Simon’s work has focused on wealth preservation for his clients and their families. He has provided advice to trustees and beneficiaries, and has forged close working relationships with a number of South Wales’ leading solicitors who practice in this area. Simon’s skills are put to best use on individuals (or families) who have assets in excess of £1 million, and wish to ensure their assets are passed to family whilst minimising the impact of inheritance tax. His accountancy background, coupled with experience of running a successful business, means he is also well placed to offer advice to business owners on their exit strategy and planning succession. This will often involve utilising the experience of partners from Kilsby & Williams Chartered Accountants. In addition to the Chartered Financial Planning qualification Simon has been awarded the STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) Certificate for Financial Services He has already been awarded his statement of professional standing in anticipation of the changes in regulations in 2013 He is married to Valerie for over 30 years and they have two grown up children.
