We approached Richard at Christopher Little regarding mortgage, pension and general financial advice. We had a brilliant consultation, where Richard gave us some great advice there and then. The whole experience was really positive from start to finish with all of the team at Christopher Little and Richard himself was friendly, open and understanding, but also refreshingly frank and honest about the advice they can offer. There wasn't any sales pitch, and things were explained to us openly and it wasn't the initimidating experience that was imagined, being our first ever visit to a financial professional. If you are in the right position, I would absolutely recommend them.

I wasn't sure what to expect on getting in touch with Christopher Little & Co but the reviews and the local focus of the company attracted me. Richard called ahead of our appointment to get an idea of our needs which helped to put me at ease. At the appointment, I was greeted warmly by the team, and Richard took time to talk me through everything from the company's background to answering the questions I had. There was no hard sell - quite the opposite - and the practical, lifestyle focused advice was invaluable and I left feeling much better informed and very glad I got in touch. I would highly recommend Christopher Little & Co, especially to people unsure about financial planning and I will return to them for all further financial and mortgage planning needs.

With increasing mortgage rates our long term interest only deal variable had become unsustainable. However, Richard managed to find us a great fix rate deal on a a part and part, which allowed us to extend our mortgage period a little, to give us more options.

5… Richard gave me excellent advice & information, i had quite a complex pension plan. Richard explained it in detail, breaking it down section by section using clear concise language i could relate to without any industry jargon. He gave me plenty opportunity to seek clarification on points and listened to and answered all questions i had, i felt very reassured after our meeting and had a much clearer knowledge of my plan. We went into our initial meeting with Richard, not knowing quite what to expect. In the space of an hour, he'd reassured me that a long standing Defined Contribution Pension was actually more valuable than it first appeared, that I was due a tax rebate and had brought up several things that we needed to think about as we approached retirement. All in all, it was a very positive and enlightening experience. Richard was very friendly and very professional - personally we couldn't have wished for a better initial consultation.

Having always been something of a financial dunce, it has been an absolute revelation to spend a very useful hour with Richard. He was extremely generous with his time, clearly and openly explaining options open to me. I will be returning to Richard in due course for further advice, as I did not for one minute feel bamboozled by pension-speak!!! It could not have been a better experience for me. What a friendly and welcoming atmosphere there is.

I contacted Richard at short notice and he was able to accomodate my request within 24 hours. I went in to explore a buy to let mortgage and he quickly identified and explained why this may not be for me. He was polite and friendly and gave a great insight into items such as different taxes that I simply wasn't aware of and hadn't considered. It was great of him to give up his time and offer valuable advice - much appreciated.

Very professional. I arranged an initial consultation with Richard to discuss my finances and how best to manage my various pension pots as I approach retirement. Richard provided lots of useful tips but concluded that I had a fairly good handle on things and could, with a little extra work, deal with things myself and it was unlikely to be cost effective to appoint him for bespoke advice. I found Richard to be friendly, honest and impartial, and would not hesitate to return to him for advice should my needs change in the future.

I approached Richard about an elderly relative. I found him approachable and helpful, both during an initial meeting with me and a follow-up meeting with my relative. He concluded there was little that he could do that would be of benefit, and rather than charge us for any advice he suggested some simple solutions we could use directly. Good to find someone who is willing to do what is best for their clients even if that means losing business from them. I would willingly seek advice from Richard if I need it in the future.

Richard went above and beyond to ensure we secured a mortgage offer for our first home. Firstly he had a call with us to discuss our desires, situation and to advise us on our budget. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He spent as much time as needed with us in this first call to ensure he had all of the information he needed and insured we were feeling happy with the process. After this call Richard made himself readily available at any time in case we had any questions. We commenced viewings shortly after this intial meeting once we had a budget we knew we could work with. In true form, we came across our dream home over the weekend and competition was high. Despite it being a Saturday, Richard replied to our query, raised a Mortgage in Principle for us immediately and sent a cover letter to the Estate Agent to help us secure the property and it worked! Richard then started our Mortgage Application immediately after this. Due to the type of the property, we came across a few snags with some lenders, however Richard continued working hard to find a lender for us, and he did this within a day. Once Richard had secured a mortgage offer for us for the property, we then had some issues arise due to certain aspects of legalities being unprepared by the seller. Richard took charge of contacting the lender and estate agent to ensure all paperwork was completed as a matter of priority for us. Throughout the process he gave us regular updates, kept us fully informed and worked hard at ensuring all parties were completing their responsibilities. There were various occasions where Richard worked through weekends and holidays for us to ensure the process continued moving. Out of all parties involved in this process, Richard was pulling out all of the stops to ensure we secured our mortgage and got to move into our dream home. We could not recommend Richards services highly enough and genuinely believe that his expertise was essential in ensuring we got our property! Not only this but Richard's hard work, determination and personable qualities made the process substantially less stressful then it could've been without him.
