I was first introduced to Best Financial Planning by a friend when I needed to remortgage after my initial fixed term ended. It's been over 4 years and 3 mortgages later and I've never looked back.

Mandy Best went above and beyond. She provided us with a mortgage that exceed our expectations and saved us money. And she put in place life cover and CIC that means we are safe in the event of death or illness. Whilst no one wants to think about these things, it’s hugely reassuring to have them in place and to have policies that meet our requirements.

I’d love to give some feedback that would help, but there was honestly nothing that Mandy could have done more. She kept me updated and aware at all steps in the process and never let the stress get too much for me. I had an insurance policy for 10+ yrs which covered loss of earnings and loss of Professional Licence to practice. I had decided to stick with the same broker because it was familiar and I was confident that they were working for me. WRONG WRONG WRONG!.

I was recommended to James Best several years ago by one of his clients because I wanted to release equity in my property. I used some of these funds to purchase a couple of BTLs properties and have over the years added a few more, all through James getting me great mortgages. Me and My partner were looking for a mortgage to buy a second home however on speaking to a high street lender this did not seem viable at the time so we contacted James Best.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to remortgage and look at other lenders to see what else was available for my rental property.

How has James Best helped you?

James explained the different options and also how the lenders look at the rental i received. He managed to get me a really competitive fixed rate and I also reviewed my rental (I had not increased it for 5 years). He has been looking after my mortgages and also with his help I now have Income Protection (I am self employed) until my expected retirement age - which is an added bonus.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I dont need to think about my BTL mortgage because it is self supporting and James contacts me when the rate is coming to an end, I am also more confident that I have some cover should I be unable to work in the future due to illness or an accident.
