What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My pension was with Prudential, the service I received from them was poor.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, although the time taken was lengthy and due to the fall in the stock market the value of my pension fell by almost £6000.

How has Paul Moody helped you?

He explained the various options available to me and gave me advise as to which option would be the best one to take.

What could they have done better?

From start to finish the time taken was seven months. It would have been better if that period of time had been shorter.

I had come into some money inherited from my mother, about which we needed advice and ideas on how to best to invest.

Paul is very knowledgeable and professional, and has an approachable and personable manner, which quickly built up our confidence and trust in him as a financial advisor. He also helped us understand our attitudes to financial risk, so that we would be comfortable with any proposed investments or strategies. In short, we felt that he was not hurrying us but carefully and thoroughly getting to grips with our individual needs, wishes and aspirations. He clearly explained the great variety of options re what we could do with the inheritance and their specific benefits and longer term implications. (At this point, it was useful to have some reading material to take away with us, which reiterated what Paul had said, allowing us to review our various options in our own time and at our own pace after our meeting. We had been given substantial information, so this both helpful and reassuring.) After our initial meeting, Paul was able to draw upon considerable research and up-to-date information on current investment opportunities. He then put together a report outlining our best options based on what we had said but was only too happy to "tweak" our plan as necessary. In essence, he worked hard to ensure that the final plan was a perfect match for our circumstances and aspirations.

What could they have done better?

Nothing at all, it was a very thorough and professional process; we felt no pressure to go down any particular route, but that all research and financial advice was focused on ourselves as individuals and was based on what we wished to achieve with the inheritance.

I had two pension funds from a long time ago, that weren’t accumulating to my advantage so I chose to amalgamate them with the help of Paul. I also inherited a sum of money which I wished to invest to accumulate over the years to my increase my wealth in years to come.

He helped me sort a pension out, then when my mum passed away, Paul was my mum's financial advisor, I couldn't not have managed without him, he sorted everything out for me he was fantastic at a very upsetting time.
