Not much in all honesty. Dan travelled to see us in our home in the evening and the first visit was early after lockdown so it was a distanced, masked meeting. His ability to explain the mysteries of pensions made us feel so much safer and financially secure as we had been very concerned that we might struggle. Yes, you can still lose money with investing, but with their management programme, we are confident that we’ve done our best by ourselves and our family.

I was thinking of semi-retiring (working only 3 days a week) and wanted some one to look at my multiple pensions and see whether I could do that, but draw down on some of my pension. I contacted Dan and he very professionally looked at my circumstances and gave very good advice on the best way to consolidate some pensions, invest some and take a tax-free lump sum from another pension. Throughout the consultation process he made sure I was well informed and comfortable with the level of risk involved.

5 * I was unsure about how to proceed with my financial future ..... and then I met Dan. Everything became much clearer and the advice and suggestions he gave have helped put in place a comprehensive and well balanced programme that will benefit me greatly. I have never felt pressured or had to act quickly, Dan has pointed out the benefits and pitfalls of the modern financial world and how to deal with them. I did have a limited understanding of investments and longer term saving and how to budget effectively, and Dan was pleased that I was able to understand and also ask searching questions, and he knew his responses were not going over my head or being misunderstood. Although we are only at the beginning of our financial commitment together, I know Dan will always be looking forward and planning for future considerations with my best interests at the forefront, and feel happy with his judgement and recommendations. Dan took over from my existing financial advisor when he retired. I needed advice about retirement planning and in particular managing my funds that were invested in separate pots.

Dan formulated a comprehensive retirement plan that would help me to retire gradually. He also recommended (and orchestrated) that I move my funds into a single pot that could be proactively managed by Dan's company AFH.

We had an existing IFA that became part of AFH through a buyout. The process of moving our investments under the AFH umbrella took time for various reasons before Dan took over as our adviser.

How has Dan Seal helped you?

Dan was able to take us through the various options that were available to us, with a clear analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each. He answered any questions we had promptly and efficiently. He always had time for virtual face-to-face meeting if we felt it necessary. He's very easy to talk to, able to give full reasoning behind any advice given. His reports on our investments were thorough and always followed up with emails or phone calls as required. Dan kept in regular contact with us without being 'pushy', helping us to get our investments working for us.

Dan researched and updated my AFH records so that he could provide me with proper advice. He investigated the investment plan I referred to him and produced a full report and discussed with me how it would fit into my overall financial planning. He was in touch with me by phone, text and email in order to provide everything I needed. We were working to a very tight deadline, because the investment plan had an imminent end date.
