I wanted to review the performance of the funds and the provider, after largely letting the pension run unchecked for many years. Andy came recommended for his breadth of knowledge, professionalism and client-focussed solutions.

I wanted to have a fresh look at my retirement planning and have advice on consolidating my assets. I was not happy about where my money was currently invested and thought this was out of date.

Andy has helped my tremendously. He has listened carefully to my situation, concerns and hopes for the future. Andy Burton has advised me in a way which has helped me to feel in control of my money and where it is invested. He is very easy to get in touch with, an excellent listener and and reliable in responding to questions however small. At no point have I felt pushed in a direction I was not comfortable with. One of my worries was the possibility of being scammed or of financial fraud. Andy and his team are extremely professional, provided me with adequate proof and assurance of their genuine status and gave me confidence to make changes at my own pace.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I have used a several financial advisers over the last 30 years. I have always sought an individual/personal relationship with an adviser but this has become more and more difficult as the smaller companies become part of a larger organisation and these qualities are lost. Andy Burton, whilst having the backing of a larger organisation, has retained that individual quality. Since I handed control of my investments/pensions/savings to Andy some 12 months or so ago, unlike my previous adviser, I have only received communications from Andy or his assistant Gracie.

How has Andy Burton helped you?

Yes, he has given me confidence that my investments etc. are in the correct place and that there is little improvement to be made at the moment. It was interesting, that although marginal improvements could have been made as regards growth, Andy considered that the higher management fees and charges would have negated any gains.

Sound advice has been given and we have successfully set up a growth fund for the grandchildren which meets all of my requirements.
