Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Up to now yes - I am invested in a portfolio that should produce at least the mimumum income I wanted and hopefully a little more. But I am reserving final judgement on quality of advice and value for money until I see the evidence, hence both are 4 star ratings at the moment.

What could they have done better?

The only thing I can think of is ask me more questions to test understanding. I only realised there were some things I did not understand when someone else asked me to explain them (and I had to go back to Mike for the explanation).

Approaching retirement, wishing to ensure it was financialy viable.

By an initial meeting, a conversation which briefly reviewed future plans about retirement.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I signed a contract for Mike to write a financial planning report and then manage my SIPP only a few months ago, so a full evaluation would be premature. However, in those few months Mike has shown himself to be a person who focuses on the details of his clients' wishes and diligently and swiftly brings his expeirence to bear to acheive a prudent solution, before putting in to action.

What could they have done better?

We wished to invest more heavily in the stock market

Reviewed overall financial situation & advised how much to invest in which funds from our personal savings and from within our pension portfolios, based on our overall financial situation and combined atitude to risk. Consolidated our pensions onto one platform.
