As a then sole director of a business, I had some specific financial matters that I was seeking specific advice and guidance on; namely that of Life Assurance Policies, Death in Service Policies, and a SIPP.

Yes. Not every investment is perfect or behaves in a predictable manner but Heather has always been on hand to offer best advice and council whenever needed, and has certainly helped facilitate the other insurances and policies that I was seeking with superb efficiency.

What could they have done better?

Nothing springs to mine - Heather has always gone over and above to assist with my requirements. Unless Heather suddenly develops an ability to predict the exact financial future of the global economy on a daily basis then I don't think there's any more she could possibly do to help me.

I needed professional advice regarding my pensions.

I knew figures could go up and down but it would have been nice to see an increase now I am nearer my retirement date.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

One of may past employers wanted to close their pension scheme and offered to pay for an advisor to help transfer pension to a new scheme. I also had pension from other previous employments so created a personal pension by consolidating most of them

Yes. I have a healthy pesion and use drawdowns rather than buying an annuity as I have other employer pensions and State pension that gives me an adequate monthly income

What could they have done better?

There is a lot of paperwork required to make a drawdown. I some respects I can understand the need for financial oversight but with my circumstances I use this pension as basically a savings account and draw down when required, usually once per year
