What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I originally looked for an experienced financial advisor when I was living overseas to advise on the best options for maximising my savings to ensure the highest level of protection for the future based on my objectives and outlook.

Mike originally advised us on the ideal investment fund for us to use but has since provided a host of other services such as consolidation of pensions into one SIP and financial advise on how and where to maximise any expendable income i.e. mortgages vs. ISAs vs. investment vs pension.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Both the investment fund and pension have and continue to perform very well. This, combined with other targeted investments and payments, are looking likely for me to achieve my long term objectives and retirement goals.

I am very happy with the service Mike and his associates have provided.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As a UK national who had lived and worked in the US for 20 years, I needed someone to advise me on how to manage - and merge - assets and investments in multi currencies.

How has Michael Yuille helped you?

Michael has helped by (i) modelling the projected cash flows on multiple scenarios (ii) suggesting different financial products (I moved money to an annuity) (iii) presented options on F/X (iv) got me into thinking about situations I might not otherwise consider (e.g. inheritance tax planning).

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Early days - as we're just a year in - but I have already moved over a large chunk of US assets and diversified some of them to other products, so yes I'm happy so far.

What could they have done better?

There isn't really anything. I appreciate and enjoy Michael's approach, where he doesn't get too bogged down in the details. The first 6 or so meetings were informal and fact-finding, with frequent chats on non-monetary life items - some may want a more formal 'buttoned down' approach (although that's not to say Michael couldn't do that).

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Emigration from the UK to Germany.

Mike has guided us through the process of transferring our pension arrangements to ones that are appropriate for German residents. Throughout Mike has been professional and clear.
