What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

After inheriting a sum of money that I felt was overwhelming - as was the job of managing and doing the right thing with it - I realised that I needed professional help and advice.

How has Robert Doogan helped you?

Robert by no means adopted a one size fits all approach but really took the time to understand my priorities, plans and concerns - our first meeting lasted around three hours - and then suggested alternative courses of action. He pointed out the advantages and drawbacks of each and recommended and advised, but certainly did not press me into adopting any one in particular.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, I am now confident that thanks to Robert the money I inherited has been invested and is working for me in the short, medium and long-term as I would wish, and that I have been guided step-by-step to a solution I could not possibly have found out myself.

What could they have done better?

Nothing - in addition to his financial advice Robert is also very easy to get on with and clear in his explanations of what could be quite tricky matters to grasp.

Passing the age of 50, with multiple pensions, I realised that I needed advice to help me plan for retirement.

With pensions, structuring my pensions according to my risk profile, looking to establish the income I would need and then when retirement may be feasible. Obviously this entails much broader advice on my overall finances e.g. savings, income protection etc Robert has made me aware of a number of financial considerations I would otherwise not have considered.

Yes, I feel like I have a clear plan so this definitely provides peace of mind.
