What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I am power of attorney for my grandfather. I started to manage my grandfather's financial affairs on his behalf. Tom became our adviser due to the previous adviser retiring.

How has Tom Horner helped you?

Tom has helped us by making the registering of my grandfather's POA with him an easy process. This has certainly made dealing with my grandfather's finances much easier for us all. Tom has also provided advice regarding the optimal amounts to be removed from investments, to help lessen the negative impact on these investments/

I have recently retired & needed advice on the best way to manage my various pensions

How has Tom Horner helped you?

I have had a number of meetings with Tom & also many emails. He came up with a plan which was explained to me in great detail & was a lot easier to understand than one I had done with another company. I decide to go with Tom's recommendations & it is almost complete now

Tom rang me within 10 minutes of me using Vouched for & arrannged a meeting within days. In the meantime he checked some info I sent him & was well prepared for our meeting. Second meeting is in a couple of days & I would think I will use Tom/MG Shaw for my drawdown pension

Tom listened to our retirement plans and, after reviewing our financial circumstances and attitude to risk, was able to recommend a personal pension plan to suit our needs perfectly. He also provided excellent advice to ensure our investments overall would serve us better in our retirement. We have been very impressed with Tom from our first contact and throughout the process. He has a polite and professional manner. He discussed our options and his recommendations in detail and clearly, without any pressure to go ahead.

I’ve just spoken to Tom about investing a lump sum of money. Tom made me aware of the options I had and also the pros and cons of each option in easy to understand language. I will be meeting up again with him in the near future to finalise my investment and would recommend him to anyone.
