What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking for an advisor for my savings. Then my friend recommended Yasuto.

Yasuto always explains clearly and is very knowledgeable. He keeps updating constantly. So I do not need to worry at all. Also he always gives me more information than I expect.

He is doing more than enough.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

A relatively small capital pension sum was received and sensible advice was required as to how best to invest it. We were existing clients of SJP which had already invested a gift into a bond for us with excellent results.

How has Yasuto Arai helped you?

Yasuto has given interesting and expert advice as to how best to invest in stocks and shares bearing in mind the general approach, guidelines and outlook of St. James's Place without simply parroting a somewhat limited corporate view. He has listened to my own views about what more the company might do and how it could be made more agreeable to the smaller investor. He has rebalanced my portfolio in a very sensible way, taken care over what to recommend (and what to avoid) and has broadened the global spread of my investments (Japan, Emerging Markets) at the same time as concentrating on the USA and GB for investment opportunities. We have had interesting and helpful conversations about the markets in India and Europe. Yasuto has kindly come over to Chiswick when it has been difficult for me to come to Knightsbridge (or the City) though I have promised to do so at our next meeting.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Probably a bit too soon to say definitely as some of the changes are recent but very much on the right lines. Perhaps I could answer this question more sensibly in December 2025 when alterations in my portfolio will have had time to bed in properly.
