What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My original adviser had a change in circumstances and so I wanted to find a local, independent advisor who looked after the little person. With only a small nest egg, I wanted someone who respected my needs, listened and gave practical advice. And most importantly I felt comfortable talking to them

Many years ago, Most of my insurances were with the Co-op. Ian was my main go to man back then, then the Co-op decided make to changes their organization, Ian then decided to go it alone, I stuck with him due to all the help he had given me over the years there.
