What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Solo Investor in various financial institutions for ISAs and pensions and Joe was recommended to me by my father. Joe has connections to True Potential LLP and recommended them as a safe place to consolidate my various investments and helped me sort this out. I have nothing but high praise for Joe‘s wisdom, knowledge and advice. He has been invaluable.

I met with Joe originally because I needed investment advice. I continued with Joe for some years up until my retirement when I again asked for his advice about my pension options at retirement. On each occasion Joe delivered a great service which is why I have stayed with him for so long.

I have been receiving financial advice from Joe for over 23 years. During that time he has met with me regularly to keep me abreast of my investment and pension portfolios. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I, together with my husband, was first introduced to Joe over 15 years ago to help us create a robust and successful retirement strategy. Since that time all our financial goals have been met. Joe also spends time with us making sure we appreciate how best to use our money and protect our assets so we can use them during our lifetime and pass them to our children too. In particular one of our children has a psychological condition that can affect his decision-making process. Joe has helped ensure he receives an income without affecting his benefits. On my last review, Joe even helped me with my panic attacks which were preventing me from leaving the house. He did this by introducing me to a breathing technique he uses with members of the military to help them deal with PTSD. Which means I can now leave the house whenever I want to. Which is fabulous.

I originally came to Joe after winning a significant sum of money on the Lottery. Some years later I transferred my company pension scheme into a plan which I can totally control. This means I can take the benefits at a time convenient to me. Plus, because I am single instead of any pension benefits ceasing on my demise. I can now decide who benefits from my pension fund and when. This flexibility gives me peace of mind and I am happy with the ongoing support I receive from Joe

As well as conducting regular financial reviews. Joe helps me keep up to date with the performance of my investments and pensions so I can fully utilise the benefits his advice gives me. I also receive regular reports which are available 24/7 online. This means I can check the status of my investments at any time. Had been doing it independently but was recommended Joe by my late father

How has Joe O'Connor helped you?

Joe sorted out all the ISAs that my wife and I had acquired up to that point and invested them in True Potential LLP (TP), where he is a member. He also helped me transfer my pension with Standard Life into a TP SIPP and I have been very pleased with the progress and growth that all our investments have made over the past years. TP is an excellent platform and it's online website constantly updates the overall valuation of funds and makes it very easy to impulse save. Joe himself is very knowledgeable regarding investments and which vehicles to use to best suit the client. He keeps himself regularly updated by attending conferences on the latest financial information regarding pensions, inheritance planning, general investment etc. Very importantly, Joe is prepared to put himself out to be able to offer meetings, e.g. Saturday mornings which, to me are important as I work away from home during the week.

Yes, it was a very good move to find Joe and use his expertise and his links with TPLLP. As a busy doctor, I would not have had the time to spend doing what he and TP have done. I value Joe's help so much so that I have referred my son to Joe for financial advice.

I originally came to Joe after winning a significant sum of money on the Lottery. Some years later I transferred my company pension scheme into a plan which a I can totally control. This means I can take the benefits at a time convenient to me. Plus Because I am single instead of any pension benefits ceasing on my demise. I can decide who benefits from my pension fund.

Due to difficulties with a property portfolio coming out of its term , Jo was recommended to me by a friend.

Well first he listened and found out what outcome would I be looking for.From then on Jo came up with possible solutions that first gave me new hope in what seemed a very difficult situation and also highlighted to me that all was not lost.
